1998
Room installation consisting of thirtysix car models and fifteen pictures. Car models: cardboard and paint (red, blue, green, yellow, violet, pink, black), 28.5 x 12.5 x 9.5 cm each. Pictures: acrylic paint on cardboard on plywood, 23 x 71.5 cm each.
The car models are arranged in a rectangle of six rows on the floor, with alternating rows of six vehicles at right angles to the last. The acrylic pictures are motifs of rural roads painted after reproductions (from the stock of commercial agencies), each with a characteristic logo of famous makes of car. Hung up in a grid of three rows, they suggest standardised mobility and freedom.

Rauminstallation, bestehend aus 36 Automodellen und 15 Bildern. Automodelle: Karton und Lack (rot, blau, grün, gelb, violett, pink, schwarz), je 28,5 x 12,5 x 9,5 cm Bilder: Acryllack auf Karton auf Sperrholz, je 23 x 71,5 cm.
Die Automodelle sind am Fußboden sechsreihig im Rechteck arrangiert, wobei abwechselnd eine Reihe zu sechs Fahrzeugen quer aufgestellt ist. Die Acrylbilder sind Motive von nach Reproduktionen gemalten Überlandstraßen (aus dem Angebot von kommerziellen Agenturen) und tragen je einen charakteristischen Schriftzug von bekannten Automarken. Rasterförmig in drei Reihen gehängt, verweisen sie auf in Standard gebrachte Mobilität und Freiheit.

Wall picture consisting of twentynine b/w drawings and fourteen color photos. Drawings: felt pen on paper, 100 x 70 cm each; color photographs 50 x 70 cm each. Total size: approx. 400 x 630 cm.
The block-type wall installation features a vertical sequence (from top left to bottom right) of urban city vistas (drawings based on photos), interrupted by real urban scenes (color photos). The large number of pictures results in “global visual noise”.

Wandbild aus 29 S/W-Zeichnungen und 14 Farbfotos. Zeichnungen: Filzstift auf Papier, je 100 x 70 cm; Farbfotografien je 50 x 70 cm.Gesamtmaß: ca. 400 x 630 cm.
Die blockartige Wandinstallation zeigt in vertikaler Abfolge (von links oben nach rechts unten) urbane Großstadtansichten (Zeichnungen nach Vorlagen), unterbrochen von realen urbanen Szenen (Farbfotos). Durch die Vielzahl der Bilder bleibt nur mehr das „globale visuelle Rauschen“.
